At the get-together, the local Trade Union officials over periods had a chance to review the glorious tradition of Vietnam’s Trade Union during the past 85 years. Upholding this, provincial Trade Union is step by step growing up. The whole province now has more than 820,000 State employees and laborers. So far, there have been 2,676 trade union locals, including 1,962 ones in the non-State sector, with more than 530,000 trade unionists.

Activities of the local Trade Unions at all levels over time saw an improvement in both content and form. They played an important role in improving labor relations at enterprises, contributing to stabilizing production and protecting laborers’ legitimate rights. Especially, there was a strong development in the patriotic emulation movements of “Well working”, “Creatively working”…, absorbing a large number of laborers. As a result, thousands of technical innovations and initiatives were applied into production, annually benefiting billions of dong. Many were commended and rewarded by the State and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
