On January 21, the Provincial Labor Confederation held a conference to sum up Trade Union work in 2021 and set out directions, tasks for 2022. Participants of the conference were Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Department; Bui Huu Toan, Deputy Head of Provincial Party Propagation Education Committee.
In 2021, due to severe impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, the provincial Labor Confederation directed trade unions at all levels to perform key tasks. Trade unions at all levels carried out many activities to take care of and support trade union members and workers having difficult circumstances to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, thereby strengthening and creating workers' confidence in trade union organizations. Admission of new members reached 55,495, exceeding the target 104.7%. Trade unions proposed and negotiated with employers to increase the value of shift meals to be equal and higher than 15,000 VND, reaching 129.5%... In particular, all-level Trade Unions in the province organized many activities to take care of union members and workers, who have encountered difficulties to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented emulation flag to the collective of provincial Labor Confederation for outstanding achievements in movements; awarded "Creative Labor" certificate to three outstanding individuals in overcoming difficulties and developing emulation movements launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The Binh Duong Provincial Labor Confederation presented emulation flags to 9 collectives; presented gifts to 56 families of union members, workers whose spouses or both husband and wife died from Covid, sponsored by Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Binh Duong branch; awarded 20 scholarships to students who are children of workers having difficult circumstances, 1 million VND each, sponsored by the "Golden Heart Charity Fund" of the General Confederation of Labor.
In addition, banks with branches in Binh Duong province donated 1 billion 450 million VND to take care of workers having extremely difficult circumstances, of which Vietcombank Binh Duong branch supported 1 billion VND.
