Provincial Labor Union marks Vietnam Trade Union’s 90th founding anniversary

Early July 23, provincial Labor Union held a get-together to mark the 90^th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929-July 28, 2019).

The event was attended by Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice-Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Le Huu Phuoc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Propaganda and trade union officials over periods.

In any historical periods, the province’s trade unions at all levels have always made efforts to surmount obstacles and constantly improved their operational forms and contents; taken care of and protected laborers’ legitimate rights and interests. The whole province is now home to 1,653 valid collective labor deals or nearly 60% of total. Provincial Labor Union has also signed cooperation agreements with 40 units to implement welfare programs for trade unionists and laborers. So far, more than 251,000 trade unionists have enjoyed benefits from these programs…

Addressing the get-together, Mr.Nam spoke highly of the results done by the province’s Trade Unions at all levels over the past time. He also stressed that provincial Trade Unions at all levels need to grasp legitimate aspirations by trade union officials, members and laborers to advise the Party and State on taking concrete solutions to be able to bring the Party’s policies, guidelines into the life. They also need to better do their task of building up a strong working class, deserving to be the key force in the national cause of industrialization and modernization; further improve operational forms and contents in line with the local real situation…

On this occasion, provincial Labor Union also honored 90 outstanding officials of trade union locals.
