Early May 13, provincial Labor Union visited and offered gifts worth VND1million each to 3 workers seriously hit by workplace accidents, namely Nguyen Thanh Dien of Box-Pak Co. Ltd.; Tran Van Linh of Kim Long Veneer Co. Ltd. and Nguyen Tan Quy of Oriental Fastech Manufacturing Co., Ltd., at VSIP I. This is one of activities annually organized by provincial Labor Union during the Workers' Month and the Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene.
Nguyen Thanh Dien lost his legs at a very young age with the injury rate up to 85%, but he is still determined to overcome adversity. He was determined to learn about graphic design so that he could continue working in design department of the company. Being touched by the efforts of the workers who are constantly striving to rise up, Nguyen Kim Loan, Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union sent best regards and encouragement to them.
She also thanked businesses for their attention and sharing to the great losses of the unfortunate employees. The businesses have arranged reasonable jobs for the employees so that they can continue having the opportunity to work and earn income after workplace accidents. She also suggested trade union locals to promote propaganda so that employers can well implement measures to ensure labor safety and hygiene; do not neglect in order to minimize workplace accidents.
In May, provincial Labor Union will visit, present gifts to 44 workers seriously hit by workplace accidents across the province. Besides, provincial trade unions at all levels will also organize many activities to take care of employees on the occasion of the Workers' Month and the Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene in 2021.
