Provincial leader receives delegation from Da Nang city’s People's Committee

On the afternoon of October 10, Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, welcomed and worked with a delegation from Da Nang city’s People's Committee, led by Le Trung Chinh, Vice Secretary of Da Nang city’s Party Committee and Chairman of the city’s People's Committee at provincial Integrated Administration Center. The event was also attended by representatives from departments and sectors in the province.

Speaking at the working session, Le Trung Chinh expressed the delegation's desire to learn from Binh Duong's experience in the fields of building social housing projects, wastewater treatment plants, building green industrial parks, making socio-economic development planning toward 2030.

Representatives from provincial Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Construction…also provided the delegation with information on the province's socio-economic and defense-security development over the first nine months of 2024. They also discussed Binh Duong's economic development model, plans for developing a smart city and innovation region, ongoing projects in social housing and solid waste management. Specifically, Binh Duong has set up a social and worker housing project with approximately 160,325 social housing units to be built by 2030, covering around 470.4 hectares, with an estimated construction area of 9,253,924 square meters to provide accommodations for about 552,458 people. The province is also working on a comprehensive solid waste treatment complex to meet the local waste management needs in the coming time…

Addressing the working session, Mr. Dung emphasized that this was a chance for the two localities to learn from each other, share practical lessons and give mutual support in addressing challenges, thereby promoting further development of the two localities in the future.
