Early October 9, Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, received Fukuda Chihiro, Deputy Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Vietnam, who is in charge of ODA infrastructure projects at provincial Integrated Administration Center.
At the reception, Mr. Dung informed the delegation of Binh Duong's 2021-2030 development plan, with a vision to 2050, towards the goals of becoming a centrally-run city by 2030, a modern industrial and service development center, taking lead in science, technology and innovation, ensuring sustainable development, climate adaptation and improved quality of life for the local residents.
With a vision to 2050, Binh Duong will become an industrial and service center of international stature with high competitiveness in the global value chain, improving people's living standards, attracting talented people and high-quality human resources.
Regarding the planning of an industrial belt associated with traffic infrastructure, the province has designated approximately 16,000 hectares of new industrial land to form up a next-generation industrial belt along belt road 4, the Ho Chi Minh city - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway and the Ho Chi Minh road. Mr. Dung thanked the JICA for ODA support to the province over the past time while hoping that based on the strong cooperative and friendly relationship between Vietnam and Japan, as well as the close collaboration between Binh Duong and JICA, the province will further receive JICA’s support in the coming time.
