Provincial leader receives Sembcorp Group

On the afternoon of May 18, Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Delegation received Wong Kim Yin, CEO of Singapore’s Sembcorp Group. The event was also attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Hung, CEO of Becamex IDC and leaders of departments and sectors in the province.

At the reception, Mr.Loi said that provincial leaders have always spoken highly of the cooperation model between Sembcorp Group and Becamex IDC during the past 25 years. The proof of the successful cooperation is the VSIP model that has become a symbol of the friendship between the two Governments of Vietnam - Singapore. He also thanked Sembcorp Group, VSIP and Singaporean businesses for their contributions to Covid-19 prevention and control, helping the province quickly recover production. Binh Duong started construction of VSIP 3 right after effectively controlling the epidemic, marking a new step forward and opening up opportunities for the local economic recovery. He said that VSIP 3 must develop to a new height, a new generation in attracting investment, developing industry 4.0 while suggesting leaders of Sembcorp Group to pay attention to and further cooperating with Binh Duong for sustainable development...

Mr. Wong Kim Yin also thanked provincial leaders for their warm welcome to his delegation while highly appreciating the province's economic recovery and development after Covid-19. In the coming time, Sembcorp, VSIP and Becamex IDC will mobilize investment capital in green fields and technologies; continue making contributions to the local growth...
