Provincial leader welcomes Deputy Minister of Italian Economic Development

On the afternoon of November 29, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received Ivan Scalfarotto, Deputy Minister of Italian Economic Development at the Vietnam-Italia Footwear Technology Center. Accompanying the delegation was Cecilia Piccioni, Italian Ambassador to Vietnam.

The Vietnam-Italia Footwear Technology Center was established in July 2017 from cooperation between the Italian National Association of Manufacturers of Footwear, Leathergoods and Tanning Technologies (ASSOMAC) and the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (LEFASO). At the working session, Mr.Ivan Scalfarotto said that the goal of the visit was to increase sustainable and long-term development between the two countries in the footwear field…

Mr.Liem also informed the delegation of the local economic development and investment attraction over the past time. Although being modest in quantity, Italian businesses made great contributions to the local economic development. He wanted that with a favorable investment climate, the province will further absorb more Italian investors.
