Provincial leaders pay gift visit to policy beneficiary families, revolutionary contributors

Towards the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), yesterday (July 18), provincial delegations, led by Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee, visited and offered gifts to policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors in Tan Uyen town, Thuan An city and Di An city. Accompanying the delegation were leaders of provincial departments, sectors and localities.

Beautifying the tradition of "when drinking water, remember its source"

Early July 18, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee led a delegation to visit and present gifts to heroic Vietnamese mother Le Thi Lanh (aged at 97) whose two children are martyrs, currently living in Tan Uyen town’s Tan Hiep ward; Le Van Dam (aged at 75), a wounded soldier ranking 1/4, living in Tan Uyen town’s Tan Phuoc Khanh ward; Nguyen Minh Dao, a sick soldier ranking 2/3 and wounded soldier ranking 3/4 (aged at 80), living in Thuan An city’s An Son commune; Le Thi Hoa (aged at 74), a wounded soldier ranking 4/4, living in Thuan An city’s An Son commune and Nguyen Van Hung (aged at 71), a wounded soldier ranking 1/4, living in Thuan An city’s Hung Dinh ward.

In the visiting places, on behalf of provincial delegation, Mr. Thao extended best regards to heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, policy beneficiary families while paying deep tribute to their contributions to the struggle defending the Fatherland. He also praised their efforts in building their lives and wanted that they will continue promoting revolutionary traditions and actively participate in the local movements.

He also said that during the past years, the province paid attention to policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious services to the revolution while suggesting all-level Party committees and authorities to further promote propaganda and education of the fine revolutionary tradition, patriotism and national pride of the previous generations in the resistance wars for national liberation and national  construction-defense cause; views and ideas of the Party and Uncle Ho on taking care of war invalids and martyrs' families, policy beneficiary families...Localities need to further take care of the material and spiritual lives of policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors by concrete and practical activities to show and enhance the tradition and morality of "When drinking water, remember its source".

On the afternoon of July 18, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee led a delegation to visit and offer gifts to policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors in Di An city. Here, the delegation visited and donated gifts to Le Thi Nao (aged at 99), a revolutionary contributor in Tan Binh ward and difficult policy beneficiaries in Binh Thang ward, namely Nguyen Thi Kieu (aged at 84), the mother of martyr Le Tan Cong; Nguyen Van Thien (aged at 92), a resistance activist who was imprisoned and exiled by the enemy; Phan Xuan Ky (aged at 87), a victim of toxic chemicals; Nguyen Trong Dam (aged at 85), a wounded soldier ranking 4/4 and Huynh Thanh Son (aged at 72), a wounded soldier ranking 1/4.

In the visiting places, Mr. Minh extended best regards to the families while expressing deep gratitude to their contributions to the resistance wars for national independence. He also encouraged them to promote revolutionary traditions, strive to overcome difficulties in order to stabilize their lives, actively participate in socio-economic development movements, cultural lifestyle construction in residential areas.

He asked for the local Party Committees, authorities and mass organizations to continue well realizing the task of “paying debt of gratitude”, giving good care to  the material and spiritual lives of policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors. They were also suggested to further promote propaganda and education of the revolutionary tradition of the elders among young generations today; take care of the material and spiritual lives of the local policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

Over the past years, the province’s Party and government determined that taking care of policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors was one of the local important and regular political tasks and achieved many positive results in this task. This task received the active participation of organizations, units and people from all strata. This year, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), provincial leaders have organized delegations to visit and give gifts for the local policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors. Along with that, many localities in the province have also set up plans with solemn, meaningful and practical gratitude activities on this year's war invalids - martyrs day.
