At the meeting, Nguyen Van Loi appreciated the effective cooperation relationship between Binh Duong province and Singaporean partners; at the same time, shared information about the cooperation orientation between Binh Duong and Singaporean partners in many fields. Regarding the prevention control of Covid-19 pandemic, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi said that the province had basically contained the disease and was giving booster vaccinations to people and workers. Due to the high vaccination coverage rate, the province's economy has basically recovered; Industrial parks operate normally. However, the province is not subjective, neglects the anti-pandemic work and is consolidating the grassroots healthcare system, maintaining medical stations and clinics in industrial zones to detect, manage and treat infection cases.
Appreciating the cooperation relationship between Singapore and Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular, the Consul General said that many businesses wanted to invest in Vietnam, especially in Binh Duong province with many important sectors such as: building smart city, 4.0 technology, renewable energy, waste treatment, combating climate change... The Consul General said he would continue to strengthen the connection between Binh Duong province and Singaporean businesses investing in Binh Duong province. He also appreciated the province's Covid-19 prevention and control work, especially the construction of field hospitals to treat Covid-19 patients as well as finish timely vaccine coverage with a high rate. The Consulate General hoped that Vietnam and Singapore would agree on the application of vaccine passports to help people and businesses of the two countries to conveniently travel and do investment cooperation.
