Provincial leaders receive Japanese delegations

Early September 8, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, received a delegation of Japanese professors and students, led by Akinori Seki, Professor of Tokyo Keizai University. Also welcoming the delegation were Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice- Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee Standing, Head of provincial Party Committee's Propaganda-Edudcation Commission together with representatives of several departments and sectors of the province.

At the reception, Mr. Loi expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of Japanese professors and students while informing the delegation of the local socio-economic development situation as well as the policy of developing the local education and training sector. He emphasized that Binh Duong province is always interested in investing in education and training at the local development requirements in the coming time. The Secretary of provincial Party Committee welcomed and supported exchange activities between students of the two countries Vietnam - Japan and believed that these activities will contribute to helping students of the two countries exchange experience in studying in particular and economic and social development in general.

Professor Akinori Seki thanked leaders of Binh Duong province for taking the time to receive the delegation while emphasizing the importance of exchanges between students of Vietnam and Japan over the past time and orientations in the coming time. Professor Akinori Seki believes that in the context of globalization, for students to lead the future of society, coordination between the two countries to create a good education system is needed.

*On the same morning, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation received Muraoka Tsugumasa, Governor of Japan’s Yamaguchi province. The event was also attended by Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu and leaders of relevant departments and sectors.

At the reception, provincial Party Committee Secretary emphasized that the province is implementing a socio-economic development plan until 2030, based on 3 growth pillars: Industry, services, and urban areas with a green, smart and sustainable development orientation. Therefore, Binh Duong really wants Yamaguchi province to share development experience while coordinating to foster fields that are the strong points of the two localities. Binh Duong and Yamaguchi still have a lot of potential and opportunities for development cooperation.

Mr. Muraoka Tsugumasa said that over the past time, enterprises in Yamaguchi province felt the dynamism and vitality of Binh Duong province in socio-economic development. The Governor said that he will continue conveying information about Binh Duong province to enterprises in Yamaguchi province while making more efforts to create a bridge between Binh Duong and Yamaguchi provinces, creating favorable conditions for the two provinces to make cooperation and people-to-people exchange activities.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi and Governor Muraoka Tsugumasa hope that Binh Duong and Yamaguchi will become a model on cooperation between Vietnamese and Japanese localities, contributing to promoting Vietnam - Japan relations.

*Also on the morning of September 8, provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi received Suzuki Keisuke, Deputy Head of the Policy Research Department of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (LDP) and Sasaki Hajime, Vice-Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Japanese National Assembly.

At the reception, Mr. Loi hoped that in the coming time, Mr. Suzuki Keisuke and Mr. Sasaki Hajime in their positions and prestige will give more love to Binh Duong; continue introducing and promoting the image, dynamic and safe investment environment of Binh Duong to Japanese investors, contributing to further deepening the relationship between Binh Duong and Japanese provinces in particular as well as between Vietnam and Japan in general.

Mr. Suzuki Keisuke and Mr. Sasaki Hajime respectfully thanked the Secretary of provincial Party Committee and leaders of the province for their sincere and warm welcome; expressed their excitement to participate in activities of the "Meeting Japan" 2023 event on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan while hoping that the two countries will continue uniting to reach stronger development together.
