Provincial leaders visit and work with Gangnam District (Korea)

On October 14, within the working visit in Korea, Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; and Binh Duong delegation had a meeting with leaders of Gangnam District, Seoul City, Korea.

At the meeting, Chairman Vo Van Minh congratulated Cho Seong Myeong, who has won the election of District Chief of Gangnam District. The two sides discussed the friendly relationship and cooperation and pledged to create opportunities and enhance trade promotion and cultural exchange activities.  To develop into a new international trade destination and have more MICE activities in the region, Binh Duong provincial leaders hope to cooperate with Gangnam district in different fields, like smart city, health, culture, art, sports, tourism etc. which are the strengths of Gangnam District.

 Based on the bilateral cooperation, the two sides agreed to promote cooperation in such areas as: production and business; culture, sports and tourism; convention of specialized conferences and exhibitions; investment in medical development; Korean culture, music festival (K-POP); jointly launch new projects to strengthen cooperation, including conferences, multidisciplinary international seminars, and online trading forums.

Previously, in January 2022, Binh Duong and Gangnam District held an online signing ceremony of "Strategic cooperation agreement between Binh Duong province - Vietnam and Gangnam district - Seoul - Korea" to promote international trade, cultural and tourism exchange in the presence of leaders of Binh Duong province and Gangnam district.
