Provincial leaders visit, congratulate DoET, schools on Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20)

Early November 14, provincial delegation, led by Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, visited and congratulated provincial Department of Education and Training (DoET), Thu Dau Mot University and Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022). Accompanying the delegation were Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda and Education Commission; Nguyen Van Dong, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee.

According to a report by leader of provincial DoET, in the last school year, despite being heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the province’s education and training sector made efforts in overcoming difficulties, being proactive to set up and implement a plan to accomplish the dual goals of effectively  preventing and controlling pandemic while completing the school year plan, ensuring education quality. The rate of students passing graduation reached 99.74%, of which the graduation rate of high school bloc was 99.98% with the overall average score of the exam subjects being 7,021 points, ranking 3rd nationwide and the average score of 7 out of 9 exam subjects in the top 10 in the country... Along with achieved results, the province's education and training sector is facing difficulties in terms of materials facilities, lack of teachers...

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Thao acknowledged achievements done by the province's education and training sector over the past time while suggesting the education and training sector to further advise the province on policies to pay more attention to supporting teachers. He also sent his deep gratitude to the teachers, wished them teachers good health while uniting to successfully complete the assigned tasks and continue being more successful in the cause of “cultivating people”.

Next, the delegation visited and congratulated Thu Dau Mot University and Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20).
