Provincial leaders visit, extend Christmas greetings to Catholics

Early December 24, a delegation of provincial leaders, led by Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Huynh Dinh, Vice-Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of sectors, departments in the province visited and extended Christmas greetings to Catholic, Protestant dignitaries and followers.

Accordingly, the delegation visited Nguyen Tan Tuoc, Bishop of Phu Cuong Diocese, Chairman of the Episcopal on Social Communications; dignitaries at Phu Cuong Bishop’s Office, Phu Cuong Church, Protestant Church and Catholic priest Nguyen Van Rien, Vice-Chairman cum Secretary General of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee at Giuse Church in Thu Dau Mot city’s Hoa Phu ward.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Liem briefly introduced the local Catholic, Protestant dignitaries and followers of the local socio-economic achievements, national defence-security in 2018; acknowledged their contributions to the local common development towards a smart city while wanting that they will continue responding to social activities, emulation movements towards a peaceful and happy life. They also thanked provincial leaders for their visit and pledged to further live with the motto of “good life, good religion”.

*The same day, leaders of Phu Giao district’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee held a delegation to visit and offer gifts to Catholic dignitaries at district-based churches.

The delegation extended best regards to the local Catholic dignitaries and followers while wishing them a peaceful and happy Christmas. They also pledged to further live with the motto of “good life, good religion” and join hands with locals to build up a more and more prosperous Phu Giao.

*Leaders of Thuan An town’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee organized delegations to visit town-based Catholic and Protestant facilities.

In each visiting place, leaders of the town visited, presented gifts, extended Christmas greetings to Catholic, Protestant dignitaries and followers while wanting that the local Catholic, Protestant community will continue strengthening the great national unity bloc and join hands with locals to well realize the Party’s guidelines, policies and the State’s laws.

The local Catholic, Protestant dignitaries and followers also expressed their delight at the local socio-economic development while thanking the local government for creating favorable conditions for them in all aspects…
