Provincial library’s grassroot trade unions – a bridge bringing understanding to people

Considering political education as a very important task to raise cadres, public servants and trade unionists’ awareness and to grasp timely the Party and State’s instructions and policies, grassroot trade unions under the provincial Library have excelled their set tasks.

  Readers read books and newspapers at the provincial Library.

 

Especially, the emulation movement of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples” initiated by the grassroot trade unions has been responded by unionists.

 

In addition, the unionists join positively in the contest of “learning regulations on civil status in 2011” launched by the provincial People’s Committee.

 

Possibly speaking, through political and thought education and movements, unionists have updated news to raise their awareness and grasp timely the Party and State’s instructions and policies.

 

Trade unionists at grassroot levels in cooperation with authorities have built regulations on internal spending, excelled responsibility on manpower usage, innovated working style and implemented administration reforms effectively.

 

Additionally, the grassroot trade unions have cooperated with authorities to excel policies on planning, training, commendation…

 

To improve quality of service for people, the provincial Library has catered well for readers’ demand, developed the movement of book and newspaper reading, rotated books and newspapers to communal cultural post offices and bookstores at grassroot levels as well as held mobile book serving trips to primary and high schools on summer vacation.

 

Besides, grassroot trade unions have mobilized trade unionists to raise creation, research and application new ways into their works in a bid to win significant results.

 

Furthermore, the provincial Library has spurred IT application into its work to affirm role and position of library information in the current stage.

 

From 2010 to 2012, the provincial Library has granted 7,661 library cards for readers, a 28.50% increase, rotated 3 million books and newspapers to grassroot levels, a 42.7% increase from the previous years.
