Provincial Market Management Bureau sanctions commercial violations

 According to Provincial Market Management Bureau, in 2021, the bureau tightened market control, inspected 593 cases, detected 449 violations. Violations in the commercial sector accounted for the highest rate, including violations of food safety, business registration, and trademarks; followed by price violations, prohibited goods, contraband goods, and goods having unknown origin. Some violations were counterfeit goods, infringement of intellectual property rights and other violations.

The Market Management Bureau handled 444 cases, collected fines and contributed over 4.78 billion VND to the state budget. Material evidences were confiscated and destroyed, worth nearly 5.1 billion VND. In addition, the Market Management agency transferred five large and complicated violations related to the commercial sector to procedural authorities for consideration and prosecution of criminal cases. Currently, Market Management Bureau is accelerating the work and collaborating with functional branches to detect and promptly handle violations in order to contribute to stabilizing the 2022 Tet market.
