Provincial Military Commander celebrates 86th anniversary of militia and civil defense forces

Provincial Military Commander has held a meeting to commemorate the 86th anniversary of Militia and Civil defense forces (March 28th 1935 - March 28th 2021).

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 86-year building, fighting and development journey of militia and civil defense forces. As a part of armed forces, provincial civil defense forces has made an important contribution to socio-economic development, national defense and security protection in the province. Up to now, provincial military forces account for 1.75% of provincial population; the rate of Party members within civil defense forces reaches 33.97%, namely the militia force account for 24.18%.

In the coming time, military agencies at all levels will continue to implement Law on Militia and Civil defense forces and its guiding documents; focus on improving the quality of aggregation, first of all, political quality of militia and civil defense forces; regularly renew political education, training, military training, and combat training exercises between militia and other forces; improve quality of civil defense forces' activities, encourage people to participate in solving local tasks and problems; to pay attention to, take care of material and spiritual life for militiamen, ensuring the good performance of military-defense tasks; develop operation regulations of civil defense forces in accordance with the current requirements and tasks.
