Provincial Museum turns towards smart museum

Binh Duong Provincial Museum is a museum for local research, research, collection, archives, preservation and display of documents, images, artifacts about the history of Binh Duong provincial formation and development on all fields of life, culture and society from prehistoric times to the present day.

Provincial Museum is currently archiving and displaying 18,000 artifacts; in which there are three national treasures: Dốc Chùa animal statue, wooden jar with bronze drum lid, and Phu Chanh wooden weaving tool set. Besides, Provincial Museum also manages 62 ranked monuments (13 national-level relics and 49 provincial-level relics); 1 representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity "Đờn Ca Tài Tử"; 3 national intangible cultural heritages: Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village, Tan Khanh Ba Tra martial arts village and ceramics in Binh Duong.

Currently, the museum is adjusting the entire display system, applying modern equipment and devices into the display system, aiming to build a smart museum to meet the demand for enjoying cultural values of domestic and international visitors in the integration period. The museum is also executing the restoration and repair of material facility and not welcoming visitors to prevent and control the Covid-19; documenting, editing and staging into clips of cultural values, and collaborating with Binh Duong eNewspapers to serve the public's recreation demand.
