Provincial Party Committee’s Inspectorate works with Department of Education and Training and Department of Home Affairs

Morning May 22, Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, worked with Department of Education and Training (DOET) on leadership, direction and implementation of the 12^th Central Party Resolution and the 10^th Provincial Party Resolution, tenure 2015-2020; implementation of Program No.20 by Provincial Party Committee.

On the basis of Program No.20 on "Improving the quality of leaders, managers, scientific and technical staff and labor force to meet development requirements of the province in the new period”, Department of Education and Training developed, specified programs and action plans. Accordingly, the provincial department of education promulgated a plan for implementation of the program of action on fundamental and comprehensive renewal of education and training and continued implementation of the projects, schemes, programs and plans.

Since the school year 2015-2016, Department of Education and Training has sent nearly 15,000 officials to trainings; To implement the program on standardization of knowledge and teaching skills for English language teachers at all levels, to send teachers for abroad study and retraining; deploy projects for teaching and learning foreign languages ​​in the period 2017-2025... In addition, s provincial education and training sector also enhanced the construction of national standard schools; To implement projects on gifted schools, high-quality schools, source-creating schools; continue to implement the project of solidifying schools; implement socialization of education.

After a half tenure, targets achieved a good growth direction; school facilities basically met learning needs of the people; general educational quality was heightened; 100% civil servants and employees of the sector met qualification standards or above, of which above-standards was 88.50%; order and discipline was improved.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Liem reminded provincial education and training sector to further assess the work done for Program 20 and 24 of Provincial Party Committee; To review low targets to clarify subjective reasons so as to focus on building solutions and concrete plans for the coming time. Department of Education and Training should advise Provincial People's Committee to have appropriate regulations on standard school construction; gifted schools, high-quality schools, source-creating schools must focus on the essence; strengthen knowledge and professional skills for staff to improve educational quality...

Department of Home Affairs well fulfilled its role as the standing body advising the administrative procedure reform in the province. Good results have positively influenced on the management and improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of governmental apparatus, administrative agencies at all levels, contributing to the economic stability, growth of the province. Many major objectives of Provincial Party Committee's action program achieved satisfactory results and ensure completion by 2020, such as the percentage of trained workers, percentage of trained workers with diplomas or certificates...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Liem suggested Department of Home Affairs should base on local actual situation to review and reevaluate Resolution’s targets to advise Provincial Standing Committee for proper adjustments. In addition, it was necessary to put effort into attaining the targets set in Resolution and action program of Provincial People's Committee on the attraction of qualified human resources for the province, especially in the field of medicine. Furthermore, it should be more preferential policies, suitable job placement and create a favorable working environment in order to recruit talented people, retain qualified human resources.
