Till now, TDM city has basically met standards of a city of class II under the Government’s Decree No.2/2009 ND-CP dated May 7, 2009 on the grading of urban centers and the Ministry of Construction’s Circular No.34/2008/TT-BXD dated September 30, 2009 detailing some contents of the Government’s Decree No.42/2009/ND-CP.

TDM city has reached 90.54 out of 100 scores under six criteria for the grading of urban centers regulated at the Ministry of Construction’s Circular No.34/2008/TT-BXD dated September 30, 2009: the function of an urban center, population of an urban center, population density, non-agricultural labor, urban infrastructure facilities, urban architecture and landscape.

However, TDM city needs to further make investment and have a close management to investment to be able to perfect urban infrastructure facilities in a synchronous way under the plan approved. The local authorities at all levels also needs to focus on the issues of population and urban public services to step by step build of a synchronous and perfect TDM city with all criteria of a city of class II ensured.
