Provincial People's Council: mid-year regular session is scheduled to take place on July 20 and 21

Early June 6, the Standing Board of provincial People's Council in collaboration with provincial People's Committee and the Standing Board of provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a joint conference to agree on the time and agenda of the 10th provincial People’s Council’s regular session in mid 2023. The  conference was attended by Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; leaders of provincial People's Council, Fatherland Front Committee, the commissions of provincial People's Council, departments, divisions and sectors in the province.

Accordingly, the mid-year meeting is expected to take place on July 20 and 21. The session will consider 24 reports, 1 notice, 5 verification reports, 27 submissions and 28 draft resolutions. Before the session, from June 12 to 16, the Standing Committee of provincial People's Council coordinated with the Standing Board of provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Standing Boards of the People's Councils of districts, towns and cities to organize meetings between deputies of the People's Councils at all levels and voters.

At the mid-year meeting, the 10th provincial People's Council will focus on evaluating the situation and results of the implementation of the People's Council's resolutions on socio-economic development and law enforcement in the province in the first six months of 2023, set out directions and tasks for the last 6 months of the year. The session will consider and decide other important issues to serve the administration of the local socio-economic development in the last 6 months of 2023 and the following years.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Loc agreed on the time and agenda of the upcoming session. He noted heads of departments and sectors in the province to carefully prepare relevant contents, ensuring  their quality on schedule to submit them to the mid-year session; requested them to coordinate with commissions of provincial People's Council to carefully prepare contents on schedule to submit them to the mid-year session. The Standing Board of provincial People's Council will coordinate with the Standing Board of provincial Fatherland Front Committee to well organize meetings with voters before and after the session.
