Provincial plan on water for 2016-2025 period

Provincial People’s Committee has just promulgated Decision No.3613/QD-UBND approving provincial plan on water for the period of 2016-2015 and vision to 2035. Accordingly, the plan aims to ensure supply of water for users; protect and prevent exhaustion of aquifer beds, surface water resources…in order to assure water resources for people’s daily life and socio-economic development in the process of the local industrialization and modernization.

The plan focuses on 6 sub-valleys, including Ma Da-Be rivers, upper Saigon river, lower Saigon river, upper Thi Tinh river, lower Thi Tinh river and Dong Nai river.

It also maps out solutions on strengthening management and sci-tech application, developing financial resources and international cooperation…to realize 3 main tasks, comprising of allocating water resources, protecting them and improving consequences caused by water.
