Provincial police force to synchronize traffic safety measures

 In the morning of October 12, provincial traffic police office (PC67) held a review meeting on traffic safety and security maintenance in the first 9 months of 2010 and sum-up of a month for traffic safety.

Traffic accidents were reported to decline but still 283 accidents have occurred, causing dead to 293 people, injuring 164 others, and damaging 383 vehicles..

Within the month, PC67 held over 240 patrol shifts and punished 3,000 cases. Traffic police force in districts has punished nearly 3,200 cases. In one month, accidents declined by 15 cases.

The meeting also included discussions about measures to maintain traffic safety and security to the year end. Accordingly, traffic police force will continue urgent measures to restrain traffic accidents as well as traffic jam by boosting up patrol and punishments.
