Provincial Red Cross provide necessities for 500 disadvantaged people

On the morning of November 8, the Provincial Red Cross held the 75th "VND0" market at their address on 30-4 Street, Phu Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot City.

The market has provided many essential items, vegetables, and fruits for 500 needy people in the province. In addition, the Provincial Red Cross also pays attention the blind. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of the Provincial Red Cross, said that the blind are people of many disadvantages and have difficulties in their lives. In order to share some difficulties, the Red Cross cooperated with localities to make lists, hand out market vouchers so that blind people can go to the market "0VND". Each gift is not large, but it is the attention and support of the Provincial Red Cross, organizations, businesses, and benefactors to needy people, help them lessen their difficulties.

In organizing process of the market, the Provincial Red Cross continued to grasp the situation and lives of vulnerable groups to have timely support. After 75 market days, the Provincial Red Cross has supported more than 30,000 people.

l On November 8th, the Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Giáo District and Red Cross of Phu Giáo District held a 0VND market, distributed 150 free market vouchers to disadvantaged people and workers. The total cost of the market was VND45 million. Accordingly, people received rice, vegetables and essentials for daily meals.

Since the beginning of the fourth Covid-19 wave, the district has organized 8 market days of VND0, gave 1,200 gifts, each worth VND 300,000 to local people, helping them overcome difficulties when the disease raged.
