Provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels bring joy to needy people

With the support of resources from provincial Red Cross Society, Phu Giao district’s Red Cross Society and donors, Phuoc Hoa communal Red Cross Society, on April 7, coordinated with Saigon-Tan Binh General Clinic to organize a “Zero dong” market-day, provide free medical check-ups and medicine for the local disadvantaged people.

Accordingly, 120 people from poor households and workers at the local lodging facilities were given vouchers to go to the market-day to buy many essential items at the “zero dong” price. Each voucher is worth about VND 800,000, including milk, rice, instant noodles, fish sauce, soy sauce, seasoning power, cake, fresh fruits and vegetables...

In addition to shopping at the "zero dong” market-day, disadvantaged people were also provided medical check-ups and medicine from Saigon - Tan Binh General Clinic’s doctors and nurses...

On this occasion, provincial Red Cross Society offered 1 ton of rice and 150 cans of powdered milk to Phuoc Hoa communal Red Cross Society with a total value of VND 50 million.
