Provincial Red Cross Society visits, offers gifts to frontline anti-Covid-19 doctors and nurses

 *65th “zero dong” market-day for disadvantaged people held

Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Society and sponsors, on October 29, visited, encouraged and presented gifts to doctors and nurses who are participating in Covid-19 prevention and control at provincial General Hospital.

On this occasion, provincial Red Cross Society presented 5,000 bottles of yakult milk and 200kg of pomelo to doctors and nurses at the hospital. These gifts were funded by North Tan Uyen district and Mrs. Kim Thy in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Cuong ward, aiming to share difficulties with frontline anti-Covid-19 forces.

*On the same day, provincial Red Cross Society held the 65th  "zero dong" market-day at its humanitarian site on 30-4 street, Phu Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city.

Accordingly, provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with localities to deliver 500 support vouchers to poor households, lottery ticket sellers and workers at lodging facilities in Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city, Tan Uyen town and Ben Cat town. With many “zero dong” items, the market-day supported hundreds of disadvantaged people, helping them get more conditions for their daily lives.

In addition to the above items, provincial Red Cross Society also organized a booth on "Taking them if you need” with used clothes but still in good condition and many books and school supplies for students... to serve market-goers and those in need (photo).
