Provincial sports festival for pupils in 2016-2017 academic year absorbs nearly 9,000 athletes

The information was revealed by the organizers in a recent meeting. The sports festival aims to promote the local pupils’ physical development, realizing a task of comprehensive education among them. Through it, provincial Department of Education and Training has a chance to sort out athletes to attend international and regional tournaments.

This year’s sports festival is expected to attract 45 sports delegations from schools across the province. They will compete in 20 events: athletics, swimming, football, volleyball, volleyball, badminton, chess, shuttlecock kicking, table tennis and tug-of-war. As planned, it will take place from February 18 to March 28 in TDM city.
