Provincial Steering Committee for Development of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation convenes second meeting
Early February 24, provincial Steering Committee for Development of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation held its second meeting. The meeting was chaired by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation and Head of the Steering Committee, in attendance of Nguyen Loc Ha, Pernament Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda-Education and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, along with other members of the Steering Committee.

At the meeting, provincial Party Committee Office presented a draft plan for implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57 on breakthrough development in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The draft outlined key tasks and solutions, including raising awareness, fostering a mindset shift and establishing strong political determination in promoting science, technology, innovation and digital transformation. It also emphasized the need to enact policies, effectively attract and utilize investment resources for development in these fields within the province. Additionally, provincial Party Committee Office presented several draft decisions, including restructuring provincial Steering Committee for Development of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation; defining the functions, responsibilities and tasks of the Steering Committee; establishing a working group and assigning specific tasks to each committee member.
At this meeting, the Steering Committee also discussed the policy of merging two committees: the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, Digital Transformation, Project 06, and Smart City with provincial Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation into a single committee. This aims at avoiding overlaps in leadership, management and operations, ensuring that the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in Binh Duong follows the correct direction.
