On the afternoon of May 26, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Pernament Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee chaired a meeting to collect opinions for the draft report on the operation of provincial Study Promotion Association. The event was also attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education.
Over the past time, the local authorities at all levels paid more attention to study promotion and talent promotion, building up a learning-based learning and achieved outstanding results. Particularly, provincial Study Promotion Association has so far developed and expanded to all districts, towns, cities, communes, wards, townships and residential clusters, with more than 316,000 members, accounting for about 13.2% of the population. There are 100% of communes, wards and townships with 3,366 study promotion branches and and boards. The total fund for study and talent promotion in localities over the past 6 years was more than VND433 billion…
At the meeting, Mr. Ha noted suggestions by representatives of the local Study Promotion Association branches while saying that provincial People's Committee will have documents for answer and guidance so that the local study promotion activities will get better in the coming time. He also wanted provincial Study Promotion Society to further promote coordination with sectors and departments to uphold the effectiveness of operational models and programs; build a stable financial source to further improve the efficiency of the local study promotion activities.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Thao praised and acknowledged results done by provincial Study Promotion Association over the past time. He emphasized that provincial Study Promotion Associaties at all levels must set up an operatinal mechanism by strengthening the leadership of the Party and government over their activities for better development. They must take advantage of socialization resources to promote the local study and talent promotion movement.
