Provincial Tax Department strengthens tax inspection, examination and collection

According to the Provincial Tax Department, in the third quarter of 2022, the tax sector completed inspection and examination at 311 enterprises, 9-month accumulated completion had 1,923 enterprises, reaching 65% of the year plan. In which, the tax authorities completed inspection at 83 enterprises, reaching 53% of the year plan, examined 1,840 enterprises, reaching 65% of the year plan.

From inspection activities, tax inspectors collected, recovered, and fined with a total of more than VND63 billion; paid nearly VND17.6 billion to the State budget, reaching 28%. Accumulated over nine months, the total tax arrears, withdrawals and fines is more than VND347.6 billion, VND20.5 billion of tax deduction, VND134.3 billion of tax exemption and reduction, over VND205.6 billion was paid to the State budget, reaching 59% of the plan.

Currently, tax stagnation and arrears tend to increase, hence the Provincial Tax Department is implementing solutions to strengthen inspection of businesses showing signs of tax fraud, tax evasion, in order to increase state budget revenue and reduce tax arrears.
