Provincial Trade Union of Textile Garment Industry contributes to improving living standards of union members and employees

On July 1 and 2, Provincial Trade Union of textile garment industry held the third congress, term 2023-2028.

During the last term, activities of Provincial Textile and Garment’s Trade Union had development steps, quality has been gradually improved; The task of representing and protecting legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees is put on top. Specifically, in the last term, Provincial Textile and Garment Trade Union gave more than 10,800 gifts, each worth from 500,000 to 1 million VND; donated 500 bus tickets to union members and workers to return to their hometown and celebrate Tet with a total amount of more than 6 billion VND. Besides, the Trade Union directed grassroots trade unions to visit union members, workers having difficult circumstances, dangerous diseases... with a total amount of more than 100 billion VND. In addition, Provincial Textile and Garment Trade Union regularly urges and reminds grassroots trade unions to join enterprises in encouraging workers to sign labor contracts and participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; The quantity and quality of collective bargaining agreements is increasing...

In 2023-2028 tenure, Provincial Textile and Garment Trade Union sets following goals: performing the tasks of representing and protecting legitimate rights and interests, contributing to improving living standards of union members and employees at the grassroots level with a focus on dialogue, negotiation and signing collective bargaining agreements, especially on wages and working conditions; renovating trade union activities, focusing on digital transformation, building digital trade unions and digital union members.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of Provincial Textile and Garment Trade Union for the term 2023-2028 including 15 members. Dang Thi Kim Chi was re-elected as Chairwoman of Provincial Textile and Garment Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term.
