Provincial Trade Unions at all levels take good care of laborers’ lives

Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have organized a variety of practical and specific activities to take care for the lives of laborers, helping keep their mind on work, making contributions to the society.

Upholding the fine tradition of Vietnam Trade Union, provincial Trade Unions at all levels have constantly developed, better doing a task of protecting laborers’ legitimate rights and interests. Especially, under the “Year for the benefit of trade unionists”, they have deployed many practical activities to take care of trade unionists and laborers.

Over the past six months, provincial Trade Unions at at all levels made efforts to care for trade unionists and laborers by such practical activities as “Gathering in Tet holiday”, “Sentimental bus trip”, “Workers’ Month”…; launched emulation movements among them; protected their legitimate rights and interests; sped up law dissemination among them…

Bui Thanh Nhan, President of provincial Labor Union said that implementing the “Year for the benefit of trade unionists”, provincial Labor Union have conducted Trade Unions at all levels to focus on activities that bring more practical benefits to laborers, especially trade unionists. In the first half of the year alone, there were 95 collective labor deals signed with more benefits for laborers. It is known that so far, there have been 1,120 valid collective labor deals in businesses with trade union locals. The whole province has set up 121 trade union locals with 24,284 trade unionists. Of these, there are 106 in non-State businesses or 67.5% of the plan and 23,915 trade unionists for 14.73% of the  plan…

Le Nho Luong, Chairman of province-based Industrial Parks (Ips)’Trade Union said that province-based Ips’Trade Union have engaged in activities to take care of trade unionists and laborers’ lives by practical activities, including job assurance. The Trade Union has instructed trade union locals and businesses to jointly create a safe, friendly and effective working environment; build up harmonious, stable and advanced labor relations; launch emulation movements among laborers, enhancing productivity and quality of products, winning faith of businesses’ partners in order to ensure stable jobs; mobilize laborers to constantly improve their skills, creating an important position in the process of production-business so that their jobs are assured…

Noticeably, the Trade Union has linked with businesses, partners to deploy welfare programs on food, convenient services, healthcare…for trade unionists and laborers.

Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have also took part in overseeing businesses’ implementation of policies on salary, bonus, social insurance, health insurance and employment insurance in favor of laborers; got involved in controlling over food safety and quality, especially mass kitchens; monitored a task of improving the quality of mid-shift meals for laborers.

The “Year for the benefit of trade unionists” once again asserts that taking care of trade unionists and laborers is a top task of the Trade Union, contributing to building up a powerful organization…
