Provincial USTA’s Executive Committee opens 4th conference

The Executive Committee of the provincial Union of Science-Technology Associations (USTA) for the 2015-2020 tenure yesterday organized its 4^th conference, in attendance of Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

In 2016, provincial USTS and its member organizations reaped achievements in dissemination of science-technology advancements, the Party and State’s policies and laws; took part in social criticism and supervision for 8 programs and plans on the province’s socio-economic development; successfully organized the 12^th provincial Technical Creation Competitions for Adolescents and Children, the 6^th provincial Technical Creation Competition…So far, provincial USTS has had a total of 17 member organizations with more than 16,900 members.

In 2017, provincial USTS will speed up activities on social criticism and supervision; disseminate science-technology knowledge via Dat Thu bulletin, its website; effectively organize contests on science-technology…

Addressing the conference, Mr.Hung acknowledged contributions by provincial USTA to the local socio-economic development. He also spoke highly of the unit’s social criticism while requiring the unit to improve the operational quality of member organizations, boost coordination between it, member organizations and sectors, departments in the province.
