Provincial VCFA to carry out practical, diverse activities

Early December 28, provincial Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association (VCFA) held its 3^rd congress for the 2019-2024 tenure.

The was attended by Cambodian Consul General in HCM city Sor Dareth; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

In the last tenure, the association worked very effectively. It spent nearly VND7.5billion on charity activities in localities in Cambodia; well realized many programs, namely “Nurturing friendship”,“ Sharing Mekong River…

At the congress, Tran Thi Kim Van was re-elected as Chairwoman of the association for the 2019-2024 tenure. The congress also reached unanimity on orientations of the association for the new tenure with practical and diverse activities..

Speaking at the congress, Mr.Hung emphasized that the association needs to improve the effectiveness of foreign affairs in the new context; boost mutual support in socio-cultural and economic development with  Kratie and Kandal provinces in Cambodia; focus on improving its operational content and form…
