Practical activities
So far, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) has dealt with policies for more than 64,000 revolutionary contributors, including more than 7,900 enjoying monthly allowances with more than VND14.2billion.

To mark the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2020), the entire Party, army and people of the province have continued upholding the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”. Nguyen Ngoc Hang, Deputy Director of provincial DoLISA said that the province’s total State budget for policy beneficiaries on this occasion is estimated at more than VND17billion…
On the evening of July 26, provincial DoLISA coordinated with provincial Youth Union to organize a candle-burning ceremony to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at provincial Martyrs ‘Cemetery. Provincial DoLISA also advised provincial People’s Committee on organizing delegations of provincial leaders to visit and offer gifts to revolutionary contributors; worked with units to build and hand over gratitude houses to revolutionary contributors; inspected and assessed the implementation of policies for revolutionary contributors…Also on this occasion, the province took a delegation of heroic Vietnamese mothers to a get-together for heroic Vietnamese mother nationwide in Ha Noi capital.
Further giving care for revolutionary contributors
In 2018, provincial People’s Council issued the Resolution No.09/2018/NQ-HDND dated July 20, 2018 and the Resolution No.08/2018/NQ-HDND dated July 20, 2018, aiming to give better care for policy beneficiary families.
Mrs.Hang said that the whole province last year mobilized more than VND5.4billion for the local Gratitude Fund. The money was used to construct and upgrade more than 50 gratitude houses for revolutionary contributors…Since 1997, the whole province has built and upgraded more than 6,600 gratitude households for revolutionary contributors with a total expense of more than VND148billion. The movement of “paying debt of gratitude” was also promoted in the province with many significant activities, including visiting, presenting gifts to war invalids, martyrs ‘families and revolutionary contributors; building, upgrading gratitude houses; maintaining heroic Vietnamese mothers…
Along with this, many businesses in the province have implemented many practical activities in taking care of revolutionary contributors. For example, Becamex IDC has so far maintained 11 heroic Vietnamese mothers in Ben Cat town; made contributions to the local Gratitude Fund…Since 2017, Becamex IDC has registered to carry out 3 programs, including offering 100 houses in Dinh Hoa social housing area in TDM city, My Phuoc social housing area in Ben Cat town and Bau Bang social housing area in Bau Bang district to revolutionary contributors; awarding 200 scholarships to policy beneficiary and poor families’ offspring who attend Eastern International University for the five-year training course; supporting healthcare for heroic Vietnamese mothers, war invalids and martyrs ‘families via Becamex international hospital, My Phuoc hospital…
With the attention of sectors, authorities at all levels, there have been 99.92% of revolutionary contributors in the province with living standards that are equal or higher to the average levels of the local residents. It is known that Binh Duong was also the country’s first locality with 100% of communes, wards and townships recognized as localities well realizing policies for war invalids, martyrs and revolutionary contributors by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and so far, the title has continued being maintained…
