Provincial Women’s Union reviews 10 years of implementating joint programs with departments and sectors

Early November 29, provincial Women's Union held a conference to review the 10 years of implementation of the Government’s Decree No. 56/2012/ND-CP and joints programs with departments, sectors in the province.

The event was attended by Do Thi Thu Thao, Pernament Vice-Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission; Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee together with leaders of departments and sectors in the province.

After 10 years of implementation, 100% of association branches and People's Committees of the same level issued joint working regulations. This created favorable conditions for the local Women's Unions at all levels to perform the function of inspecting and supervising the implementation of policies and laws related to family, women, children and gender equality. Many proposals and recommendations on policies, regimes, protection of women's legitimate rights and interests were recognized and resolved by sectors and authorities at all levels. In addition, provincial Women's Union strengthened dissemination and education of the law to women and children, such as: the Law on Gender Equality, the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence; the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking; the Law on Conciliation at grassroots, the Law on Marriage and Family...

At the conference, provincial Women's Union signed a joint program with provincial Police, People's Court, People's Procuracy on the protection of women and girls in the period of 2022-2027; signed a joint program with provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin; inked a joint plan with provincial Labor Union on organizing activities among female cadres, civil servants and workers; signed a joint program with provincial Youth Union on activities among young women in the period of 2022-2027.

On this occasion, provincial Women's Union awarded the certificates of merit to many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing joint activities.
