Provincial Women Union performs well military rear work

In the bustling preparation atmosphere for enlistment day, female cadres of Women Union(WU) appeared to talk with parents of recruits so that they could encourage their offspringgoing for mission fulfilling, or mobilized meaningful presents from benefactors. Apart from going to eachrecruit’s house, we also take care of new soldier’s family through loans offering, timely beingpresent at difficult time… These encouraged minds of young people and their families”.To implement cooperative action program between provincial Military Command and WU,WUs at all levels have performed well military rear work through: visiting and offering gifts torecruits; being twinned with army units; conducting mass mobilization together with armyforce…Provincial WU Vice Chairman Ms. Dang Thi Mong Huyen affirmed, mass mobilization for theenlistment is one important duty. Since the year started, provincial WU has directed its unions tocooperate with sectors, agencies to disseminate widely Military service law among peoplethrough meetings at grassroots levels, especially families having offspring between ages ofmilitary service. During the first enlistment in 2013, WUs at all levels carried out 412dissemination meeting with attendance of nearly 17,800 people.Additionally, WUs have cooperated with other units to do mass mobilization, namely frequentcleaning for the environment, such as: general cleaning in Friday evening and on Saturdaymorning, mobilizing members to tidy up streets; participating in construction of public facilitieslike rural roads building, garbage collecting…For an effective propaganda, caring for admitted young persons and their families is necessary.According to Ms. Huyen, beside mobilization during enlistment, supporting as their families arein troubles, job introduction after finishing military service, offering loans, taking care of policyfamilies… are regular works of WUs so that admitted youngsters can go comfortably for theirmilitary service. Unions also visit and encourage soldiers at military schools, local army, andborder soldiers in big holidays.Fulfilling military rear tasks is to tighten relationship between soldiers and people, encouragesoldier’s mind and to help localities fulfilling annual enlistment.During the first enlistment in 2013, WUs at all levels in collaboration with sectors, agenciesmobilized admitted young people, organized parties and offered gifts to 100% recruits, visitednew soldiers at military schools with total cost of VND478 mln.
