Provincial Youth Federation congress: "Youth stepping forward for Binh Duong’s development"

The 8th provincial Youth Federation congress for the 2024-2029 term is scheduled to take place in mid-August 2024. Currently, preparations for the congress and various welcoming projects are actively attracting a large number of youths.

Thorough preparation

Provincial Youth Federation Secretariat has recently held a meeting to discuss and approve draft documents, personnel proposals and welcoming activities before, during and after the 8th provincial Youth Federation congress for the 2024-2029 term. Additionally, provincial Youth Federation announced the official song of the congress "Youth stepping forward for Binh Duong’s development" and launched a campaign to change social media profile frames to celebrate the congress. This campaign is being widely adopted by Youth Union officials and members to spread this significant event.

Towards the congress, Di An city’s Youth Union organize a "Green Sunday" event, drawing a large number of youths

"The 8th provincial Youth Federation congress for the 2024-2029 tenure is one of six congresses selected by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation to organize a provincial-level pilot congress. The event promises to showcase the distinctive characteristics of the Federation and extensively apply digital technology. This is an important political event, affirming the spirit of democracy, innovation, proactiveness, creativity and volunteerism of Binh Duong youth in contributing to the local socio-economic development".

According to provincial Youth Federation Secretariat, to ensure the success of the congress, the congress’ subcommittees with 100 youths will support various activities before, during and after the event, including semaphore performances and large-scale art ones. Additionally, the propaganda and logistics subcommittees of the congress will involve 40 volunteers. The propaganda subcommittee’s volunteers will share positive information about the congress, support the creation of news articles, organize contests, conduct media campaigns and handle photography, video production...The logistics subcommittee’s volunteers will assist with logistics, stage setup, ceremonial arrangements and welcoming delegations from various units, localities...

The volunteers selected by provincial Youth Federation are enthusiastic, dynamic, disciplined, highly responsible youths with experience in Youth union activities. Currently, these volunteers are fully focused on supporting preparations of the congress to contribute to the success of the congress.

Upholding youth strength

In celebration of provincial Youth Federation congress, the local Youth Unions and Federations at all levels are promoting youth-led volunteer projects to create a memorable event in the community. Towards the congress, the Youth Union and the Youth Federation of An Binh ward in Di An city handed over a house renovation work to a disadvantaged youth. The work was presented to Pham Trong Cau at No.474/17, Binh Duong 1 quarter, with financial support of VND 16 million, enabling his family to secure a stable house. This initiative reflects the local Youth Union and Federation's care for improving the lives of disadvantaged residents.

In addition to social welfare activities, provincial and district Youth Unions and Federations have launched campaigns on "Peak Day for Rural Landscape and Environmental Protection" and "Green Sunday" campaigns, "Green Operation- Alliance of three uniforms” among all their branches. Through these efforts, the local Youth Union branches  have undertaken such works as "Youth road 'Bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe', planting green trees, planting flowers, cleaning up youth-managed roads; implementing models such as “Eco-friendly market reducing plastic waste”, “Youth green house”, “Giving a new look to old walls”...

"All of these are meaningful activities to join hands to protect the environment and respond to climate change. These activities not only gather Youth Union members to collect waste, clean the environment and build landscapes, but also aim at raising public awareness and gradually building and forming up  a cultural and civilized lifestyle."
