Purchasing power increases strongly on National Day

Supermarkets in the province informed, although there were quite a lot of people traveling during the National Day, purchasing power increased sharply. Mr. Ho Quoc Nguuyen, Director of Vietnam Big C's foreign affairs department, said that the purchasing power on Sep 2 had increased about 30% compared to weekdays, because supermarkets launched a sale promotion program to reduce selling price by 49% of thousands of product. In addition, the supermarket also introduced to consumers some products, specialties from many regions such as avocado, durian, orange at reasonable prices, thus attracting customers.

According to Tran Thi Hong Quyen, Deputy Director of Binh Duong Co.opmart supermarket (Dinh market, Thu Dau Mot), purchasing power during the holiday at the supermarket increased 5 times compared with weekdays and nearly doubled compared to the same time last year. Purchasing power increase was mainly in food groups, household utensils, cosmetics.

At traditional markets such as Thu Dau Mot, Lai Thieu, Bung ..., purchasing power also increased 50% compared to weekdays. However, retail price of fresh foods such as poultry and seafood increased only slightly, about VND5,000 / kg compared to weekdays; price of vegetables, tubers and fruits was still stable.
