Putting more efforts to complete goals

The year 2016 is the first year that the province implements the 12th National Party Resolution and the 10th provincial Party Resolution. To accomplish goals set by Party Resolutions, PPC specified objectives, duties in 2016 and set out directions, key solutions.

Based on targets set by the 10th provincial Party Resolution, PPC defined main tasks and targets in 2016. Accordingly, the province will sustain economic growth, strive for a higher rate than in 2015; accelerate the implementation of provincial Party’s action programs to execute the 10th provincial Party Resolution; restructure the economy of the province towards rapid and sustainable development, improving productivity, efficiency and competitiveness. The province will also better socio-economic infrastructure system, boost urban – service growth to pave the way for Binh Duong to become a civilized, modern urban city; enhance the national target program on new rural construction…

In 2016, striving for GRDP growth rate of 8.2%

Regarding economic targets, in 2016, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) to increase 8.2% year-on-year; the proportion of industry - construction, services, agriculture - forestry – fishery in the economic structure to correspond with 63.2% - 23.3% - 4.3%. Total capital demand for social investment in 2016 to be about 78,000 billion VND, accounting for approximately 35.7% GRDP; total State budget revenue to reach 39.000 billion VND.

Achieved results in 2015 have an important role to creating a firm foundation for the completion of the 10th provincial Party Resolution’s targets. Accordingly, in 2015, GRDP increased by 13%; economic structure of industry - service - agriculture corresponded with 60% - 37.3% - 2.7%; GDP per capita reached 73.1 million VND. Total budget revenue reached 36,000 billion VND, up 13%; total social investment capital was 70,114 billion VND, up 17.6% year-on-year…

Industrial Production Index (IIP) of the province rose 10.3%; industrial production value increased by 15.8%; 24/27 main industrial product groups achieved a year-on-year increase. Among these, 13 groups rose over 10% with stable exports and good consumption, contributing to the overall growth of the industry, for example, textile increased 14%, leather and related products 14%...

Besides, domestic commercial activities continued to grow steadily with abundant commodities gradually dominating the market. In 2015, total retail sales revenues of goods and services of the province increased 25.7% year-on-year; exports sustained good growth, achieved trade surplus of $ 3.7 billion. FDI sector also achieved high growth rate and contributed largely to provincial exports. Agricultural structure also shifted in the right direction; the proportion of husbandry increased and contributed largely to sectorial growth. Production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased 4%; agricultural accommodative policies were implemented effectively…

Based on achieved results in 2015 and the actual situation of the locality, to accomplish the goals of 2016, PPC has set out orientations and key solutions.

Focusing on implementing the 10th provincial Party Resolution

In order to achieve good results right from the first year of 5-year plan 2016-2020, PPC directed all levels and sectors to focus on solving, overcoming difficulties and limitations; disseminate and set up plans for the implementation of the resolution. Regarding manufacturing sector, improving the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of industrial products, gradually increasing the proportion of industrial production with high technologies and high added values, energy savings, and environmentally friendliness; facilitate the growth of supporting industries, industries serving agriculture and the rural economy, agricultural product processing industries. Besides, all branches and levels should continue to remove difficulties to promote production and business activities; realize planning, allocate lands to attract investment right after the TPP takes effect.

Regarding trade and services, PPC asked all levels and sectors to perform comprehensively solutions to rapidly develop industries with advantages, technology and high added value, like: banking, logistics...; facilitate trade promotion, market expansion for goods consumption to sustain provincial trade surplus. Especially, agricultural sector must focus on attracting investments in high-tech agricultural production; strengthen agricultural expansion, application of scientific and technical advances into production; promote the efficiency of urban farming, modern agriculture models to gain high productivity and quality…
