Starting as a leaf-thatched roof home, the Center now could accommodate 337 children. During its 13 years of charity drives, Que Huong Charity Center has sheltered many lives of orphans and the disadvantaged who have grown up to integrate into the society.

Ongoing development

13 years back, the Center was temporarily built in leaf-thatched walls.  The facility was poor but humanity was warm.  More than 30 orphans and handicapped children were brought up by Huynh Tieu Huong. Soon after, as many knew of the place for disadvantaged lives, they brought more children here. Just like that, over time, the orphans and disabled children admitted to the Center was populated and growing. The place was expanded as per increasing needs.  Seeing through the significance of the Center activities and charity endeavors of officers and staffs of the Center, many socio-economic institutions come together to care of the children.

"With the wish for not leaving them illiterate, the Center has recently started construction of multi-functioning housing and classrooms at total construction value of over VND 19 billion, supported by the near and far compassionate and kind-hearted people, helping children to have their school of dream and the orphans in Que Huong Charity Center to have conditions to uprise in life. Upon completion, the works will serve the learning needs of the children in the Center and the poor students in the vicinity, "said Huynh Tieu Huong.
