Ragamuffin 90 wins at int’l sailing boat race

On October 20, the Audi Hong Kong – Nha Trang Race 2013 closed in Nha Trang city, the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.

The championship title was awarded to Ragamuffin 90 from Hong Kong, while the second and third titles belonged to Chivas and Lucky.

Departing on October 17, nearly 200 sailors on board 17 fleets from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the US and China sailed over 650 nautical miles (1,200km) before reaching Bao Dai Tourist Resort in Nha Trang city.

The fleets are in Keelboat type and have length from 10 to 30 meters and maximum speed of 30 nautical miles per hour.

The race aims to bring a new sport to Vietnam, as well as introducing and promoting the potential and strength of Nha Trang tourism to foreign friends./.
