Accordingly, regarding the direction, the location of the railway station from Bau Bang station to An Binh station is updated based on the Ho Chi Minh City - Loc Ninh national railway route and was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1769/QDTTg dated October 19, 2021 and the detailed planning of the railway in the Ho Chi Minh City hub area approved by the Ministry of Transport in Decision No. 1556/QD-BGTVT dated June 6, 2013. The starting point of this route is An Binh station (Di An ward, Di An city), the ending point is Bau Bang station (Lai Uyen town, Bau Bang district). The total length of the railway line is about 53.63km, with 10 stations; the planned double-track line is 1,435mm in gauge. The railway passes through Di An City, Thuan An City, Thu Dau Mot City, Tan Uyen City, Ben Cat City and Bau Bang District.

The total investment for the railway is expected to be about VND59,560 billion; of which site clearance costs are VND21,294 billion, construction costs are VND16,415 billion, equipment costs are VND8,001 billion, and the rest are other costs.
