Facing the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic at the same time of strictly implementing the direction of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee in the prevention of and fight against the epidemic, the People's Committee of Di An city issued a document to suspend all entertainment activities and prohibit crowds to focus on disease prevention and control. Self-management teams in communes and wards have walked to every home to propagate and mobilize people to raise awareness of disease prevention and control.

Accordingly, on January 31, Le Thanh Tai, Chairman of Di An town People's Committee, issued a document to direct all levels and branches of the city to keep on thoroughly implementing Directive No. 16/CT-TTg. of the Prime Minister to widely propagate on the mass media and mobile means so that all people, enterprises and organizations can grasp up and continue to strictly implement compulsory measures in their Covid-19 disease prevention and control in such way that people are recommended not to leave their homes and move when around not needed, to regularly wash their hands, disinfect, and wear masks at public places, workshops, agency, and public transport. People with signs of fever should stay at home and do not go to work, offices, schools or public places and make regularly contact with the medical center and doctors for advice and follow the doctor's instructions.

The document also clearly stated that all religious ceremonies, belief events, crowded events out of offices, schools, hospitals, and public places such as parks, squares, and mini scene will be stopped. Non-essential services such as massage, karaoke, gym, yoga, discotheque, tourist facilities, sightseeing, entertainment venues, cinemas, pubs, bars, club, singing venues, billiard clubs, business establishments, beauty salon, physiotherapy, online games, gymnastics and sports activities that gather people will be stopped. Particularly for food and beverage services, take-out sales are encouraged as diners are asked to keep their distance, sanitization, temperature measuring. The shops are not allowed after 22:00. Heads of localities, organizations and individuals will be strictly sanctioned for any violations to occur.

The Military Command of Di An city presided over and coordinated with the medical center, the cultural and information offices and the related branches, the People's Committees of the wards to ensure all necessary conditions for timely operation management. Regulatory zones are effectively regulated. The Di An city Medical Center has actively coordinated with the concerned branches to continue perfecting anti-epidemic plans and scenarios to suit the new situation. Urgently coordination with relevant units has been made to procure equipment, medicines, and medical supplies and to prepare human resources to promptly serve the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control as well as being ready for field quarantine treatment areas in case an epidemic occurs.

As noted by our reporters, from the afternoon of January 30, the People's Committees of communes and wards in Di An city immediately started to strictly implement epidemic prevention and control protocols. The parks have been off-limit to people to gather and play. Business services such as karaoke and massage have been closed. Road users and people to markets wear masks for disease prevention and control. Nguyen Van Yem, Chairman of Tan Binh Ward People's Committee, said Tan Binh ward has directed 6 self-management teams in the neighborhoods to " knock on all doors" to remind people to improve their morale of disease prevention and fight. Unnecessary business venues have been strictly forbidden, and people are recommended to stop organizing year-end party activities. Right in the night, the forces went to public areas and parks to remind people not to gather. The loudspeaker system continuously broadcast messages on disease prevention and control as well as direction from all levels.

“In the morning of January 31, although it was Sunday, the local departments and agencies directed each street to propagate and remind people to strictly implement the prevention and control of epidemic. On the process, people as well as business establishments that do not follow the instructions will be noted down by the ward People's Committee for strict sanctions,” said Yem.

Similarly, in Tan Dong Hiep ward, disease prevention and control have been strengthened. The fast and strong propaganda on disease prevention and control have had a deeper impact on people. Nguyen Thi Lanh, a small trader at Tan Dong Hiep market, said: “Over the past time, we must be honest that we sometimes wear masks but sometimes we don’t to prevent epidemics. But a few days ago, before the epidemic had spread in many provinces and cities and especially often broadcast has been made to remind everyone, so almost everyone who came to the market wore masks. For small traders like us, we practice wearing masks at all time for disease prevention and control.”

By the morning of January 31, branches and levels in Di An City had done quite well the direction of the Chairman of Di An city People's Committee.
