Red Cross Society movements at schools offer help to over 123,000 pupils, teachers

In 2017, Red Cross activities at province-based schools continued being stable. Many practical Red Cross movements, namely “Paying debt  of gratitude”, “When drinking water, remember its source”, “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims”, “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address”, “Charity rice jar”…, were maintained and upheld their efficiency, contributing to educating the local pupils and students about personality and compassion.

As a result, Red Cross Society branches at province-based schools provided free medical check-up and medicine for 115,156 pupils with a total expense of more than VND2.7billion. Donors also awarded 2,842 scholarships, gifts, notebooks, books and learning tools to 3,592 pupils; offered 36 bicycles, visited and offered timely help to 988 cases, gave free haircut for 1,124 children, organized loan rotating groups with a total value of more than VND5billion.
