Reference exchange rate continues falling on May 22

The daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar decreased 7 VND from the previous day to stand at 24,955 VND/USD on May 22.

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,955 VND/USD on May 22, down 7 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,203 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,707 VND/USD.

At 8:23 am, however, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks went up.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,790 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,150 VND/USD, up 10 VND from the May 21 morning session./.
