Reference exchange rate up 10 VND at week’s beginning

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,219 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,722 VND/USD.
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,970 VND/USD on May 19, up 10 VND from the last work day of the previous week.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,219 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,722 VND/USD.
At 8:25 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw decreases.
Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,740 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,100 VND/USD, down 10 VND from the May 16 morning session./.
