Regiment 435 dispatched to help local people

From July 20 through 28, over 200 officers and soldiers of Regiment 434 (the 4th Army Corps.) have dispatched to work in terms of mass mobilization at 4 wards of Di An Town and Thuan An Town.

Upholding the motto of being with locals, at An Phu Ward, Binh Nham Ward, and Binh Dang Ward of Di An Town, the dispatched forces have cooperated with local youths and unions to clear the sites, dredge the drains and dykes to prevent flooding across 50km of rural roads and dykes. Concurrently, the forces have held meetings to propagate people’s revolutionary tradition in the cause of national protection and dissemination of laws and State’s policies. Gift visits have also been made to Vietnamese heroic mother Tran Thi Hai who also has been guaranteed for lifetime support of the regiment and other families of revolutionary contribution. In the series of activities, the officers and soldiers have also attended candle lighting to pay tribute to fallen martyrs. The stage of mass mobilization has contributed to the improvement of long-term unity of local people and the armed force. At the summing up session, local authorities have awarded 6 collectives and 3 officers for their excellent contribution to local mass mobilization.
