Regulations on measuring the quality of gold and fine art jewelry disseminated among businesses

On May 24, Thu Dau Mot city’s Division of Economics coordinated with the Sub-Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality under provincial Department of Science and Technology to organize a conference to disseminate regulations in the trade and management of the quality of gold jewelry and fine art circulating on the market under the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Circular No. 22/2013/TTBKHCN dated September 26, 2013 for private gold trading enterprises in Thu Dau Mot city.

At the conference, these enterprises were propagandized regulations on the management of measurement in gold business and the quality management of gold jewelry and fine art; mandatory requirements to ensure that instruments for measurement are qualified for verification; legal requirements for weight inspection service providers; regulations on the publication of standards for applying and labeling of gold, fine art jewelry and a number of violations of the law and measures to deal with relevant violations…

The conference contributed to ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, building up a healthy competition and business environment for the gold and fine art jewelry market in the province.
