Rehabilitation model in community launched

On the afternoon of June 23, Tan Uyen city’s Steering Committee 138 held a ceremony to launch the model on "Counseling, care and support for treatment and detoxification in the community".

The model is carried out at 2 regional general clinics of Khanh Binh and Thai Hoa wards. Manpower and equipment are utilized from these clinics. The task of the medical staff implementing the model is to carry out counseling, care, and support for treatment and detoxification in the community for drug addicts in the city before taking them to rehabilitation centers while providing advice and connection to support services for HIV/AIDS medical examination, treatment and testing in case of necessity.

It is known that this is the first model in the province established in Tan Uyen city. Depending on its situation and effectiveness, the model will be replicated in the remaining districts, towns and cities in the province.
